Ezra and I extremely lucky to know through the now semi-private Enteract news groups the operator of Fermilabs PBar facility, disco master - dot.Max. The PBar facility was shut down for a month of maintenance and he gave us all a private tour! He's the current world record holder for creating AntiProtons, cool! Ezra and I attended along with about 20 others, still not exactly sure what AntiProtons are... Awesome research facility obviously but also cool architecture and facilities along with wildlife (some sort of preserve on the grounds). Place is open to the public and standard tours are given. I'd kind of forgotten that such altruistic research still goes on, imagine George Bush funding the discovery of the big bang and all else that is...
