How to add and play your own files with Spotify for Android.
For this example we’re working with Windows, MP3 files, Android 15 with a Google Pixel 8 Pro
Copy audio Files from Computer to your Phone
- Connect phone to computer via USB
- Check your phone Notifications for Charging this Device via USB, expand and chose Tap for More Options
- Choose File Transfer/Android Auto
- From your computer browse to Music folder on your phone
- Copy files/folders from computer to the Music folder on your phone, wait until complete
Enable Local Songs in Spotify
- Tap your profile picture at the top
- Tap Settings and privacy Settings
- Tap Apps and devices
- Under Other devices enable Local audio files
View and play your local files
- Tap the Your Library icon on the bottom bar
- Tap the new Local Files playlist
- You can play individual files and enable Shuffle play
- You can add songs to new or existing playlists and add to the queue
- Rock on
