Disable Automatic Screenshot Uploads – Does it drive you crazy that Zwift defaults to uploading five random screenshots and a video to Strava for every ride you do, and there’s no apparent way to disable this feature? Like, no I don’t want five random images and a video uploaded to Strava as an advertisement for bad graphics on a service I’m paying for. Zwift does graciously allow you to manually deselect the video and four images when you upload your activity, but you have to manually delete the last image from Strava after you’ve upload. Nice! Not. Just the map please!
Here’s how to disable automatic screenshot uploads for Zwift. In case you’re wondering, this post is necessary because you cannot disable Zwift automatic screenshot/image/photo uploads from Android or iOS mobile, and you cannot disable video screenshots from Android, but you can from iOS but, you can do all the above from a Mac or Windows computer. Got that? Okay lets roll!
- If you’re a mobile user – Download Zwift and install on your Windows or Mac computer.
- If you don’t have a computer, go buy one and bill it back to Zwift. Cause who uses mobile right?
- But… don’t try to set settings via the Zwift website on your computer. It’s not the Windows Zwift app, it’s more like the Mobile app except without any functionality. Got it? Yeah me too.
- Once you’ve installed Zwift on your computer, even though you use it on mobile…
- Log into the Zwift app, on your computer.
- Go to Settings. They make it painful, you’ll figure it out.
- In settings find “Screenshot Uploading“. Yes yes, do not worry this is not the setting Zwift that states to change in their documentation “Image Uploading”, because that setting doesn’t exist.
- You found it? Good! 2 million water drops for you.
- Now set “Screenshot Uploading” to the desired frequency of f’ing Never.
- There is now a 78% chance screenshots won’t upload for you next ride!
