Issue: The full Start Menu opens when waking your computer from sleep mode.
This behavior is more of an annoyance than an issue, and an odd one at that as sleep by nature indicates you’re continuing where you left off.
- Do not use Start > Power > Sleep to put your computer to sleep
- To put your computer to sleep right click or touch and hold the Start menu and choose Shut down and Sign out and Sleep
- Alternately you can click on your desktop (so it is the active Window) and press Alt+F4 (close Window) and the choose sleep.
Right click Start > choose Shut Down or Sign Out > choose Sleep = no Start Screen on Wake
Click your Desktop > press Alt+F4 > choose Sleep = no Start Screen on Wake.
